The Bays at Olympic Hills

The Bays at Olympic Hills, an external building consisting of two indoor / outdoor golf hitting bays along with entry and lounge areas, were completed in June 2018 and came out truly remarkable. The facility is the first in Minnesota to have the ability to open garage doors and hit balls outside while standing inside a heated environment or close the garage doors, deploy a screen, and use the same space as a simulator.

a True benefit to membership

The hitting bays are a true additional benefit to the members as they were not assessed for the project.  We talk a lot about “social currency” when discussing how we can make Olympic Hills stand out within the competitive golfing market in the Twin Cities area.  The construction of these hitting bays has increased our “social currency” in immeasurable ways within the community.

Indoor and OUtdoor Hitting Year Round

The unique aspect of the facility is that the Bays are designed to allow both indoor and outdoor hitting functionality.  The participant can choose to open up a glass garage door to hit balls out onto the range or to deploy a projection screen to hit balls indoors with a simulator in the same space.  Infrared, forced air and in floor heating keep the player warm in the winter when hitting outside as well.

LOUNGE or Practice atmosphere

The idea behind Bays was to make it inviting and fun.  Members enjoy this facility (at no charge!) with each other and their guests year-round.  Comfortable seating, multiple DirecTV enabled televisions, dart boards and other entertainment options provide an amazing atmosphere to play the simulator, watch a game, or hit range balls out into the snow to see their ball flight at any time throughout the year all within steps from the clubhouse.
